If it’s written well and is highly informative, an article creates credibility instantly.  You may not be an expert writer yourself and if the idea of writing is far too daunting for you, you can hire someone to do it for a small fee.

I would always recommend that you write your own material first then have a professional look over it.  Your individual style is important since no one can copy it.  But, if you don’t have the time or patience, you can find professionals very easily at low cost using sites such.

Article Submission Step #1 – Creating Your Article

1. Conduct your keyword research
2. Pick keywords that best match your website theme and target market
3. Learn how to structure a great article. Look at software to help you > Mass Article Control
4. Write a highly informative article and then add your keywords
5. Proof and edit the article and submit it to directories

Article Submission Step #2 – Article Announcer

The next thing to do is connect with people on the internet, make it easy for them to find you and drive traffic to your website using articles.  I’m currently in the process of writing more articles for my website and I’ll be offering them to article directories and other webmasters to use as content on their own websites.  The result will be that more people will know who I am and will visit my website to find out more about me.

Article Submission Step #3 – Protecting Your Article

Once an article is written, you can send it out to webmasters and ezine directories and people on your list.  You won’t ever know who will ultimately read your articles and because of that there are several things to do that will protect your article and ensure you get due credit for it.

1. Copyright your material
2. Put the date of your article, with your name, or the name of your company, and the symbol ©.
3. Create this © by,  1. Press the close bracket button ” ( ”  2. Press the ” C ” button 3. Finally, press the other closed bracket button “ ) “. Ie. (c).  It should pop up automatically.
4. Create a link back to your website – promote yourself

Put your website, email address, your credentials and as many details as possible throughout the article and in the profile box at the end of the article.  Make is easy for people to contact you or visit your site.

In order to promote your business you’ll need to establish relationships with webmasters who have access to a large list of email addresses in your target market.  You’ll also need to develop your list of email addresses.  There is little point implementing a promotion, without having email addresses to promote to.

Do not go down the road of spamming.  This is where you send unsolicited emails to people who having not expressed any interest in you or your product.   It is unwanted and annoying.  There are far easier and more effective ways of promoting your site.

Article Submission Step #4 – Submit To Directories

Once you have written and protected your article, submit it to the following directories.  There are literally hundreds of directories, these are just a few that I have used in the past.
